Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

JRFA was retained by Holly Stream Condominium Homeowners Association to provide design and preparation of plans and specifications for the upgrade of 0.019 mgd wastewater treatment plant as part of the NYCDEP WWTP Upgrade Program, which required the facility to comply with strict treatment limits for giardia lambia cyst removal, removal/inactivation of viruses, CBOD, phosphorous and ammonia removal. Design included the analysis of the existing system for the ability to comply with Watershed Rules and Regulations.
Facility planning and design included the addition of microfiltration and rapid sand filtration to the existing unit processes; cost estimate for the recommended alternative, capital and O&M. JRFA also conducted flow and sampling study to evaluate existing flows and loads for design of new and analysis of existing unit processes.
