Brewster Water System Improvements

JRFA was retained by the Town of Mount Pleasant to conduct a SEQRA and site plan review of the proposed NYCDEP 290 mgd Croton Water Treatment Plant in the Town of Mount Pleasant. The review of this estimated $1 billion dollar project includes the following issues: construction and post-construction related impacts; financial impacts; and consideration of alternatives. Inherently complex due to its proposed size and scope, the project required integrating the New York City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) requirements with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act to balance the often conflicting requirements of each. Services include coordination with permit issuing agencies, attendance at meetings and monthly reports on activities and status of the SEQRA/Site Plan.
